Served with brown rice it's high in protein and high in fibre, as well as tasting absolutely delicious. I'm certain you're going to love it. Healthy Chicken Tikka Masala

Chicken Tikka Masala is a classic Indian dish of marinated chicken in a spiced tomato curry. Except of course it's not that simple, as it roots are as much here in the UK as they are in India. And whilst there's no doubting that it's a classic, you're unlikely to ever see quite the same recipe twice. Still, we completely understand why it was voted the nations second most favourite meal just a short few years ago, we love it. As with all the dishes in our January series, this version has been tweaked to be the healthiest it can be. Whole chicken, skin removed, is marinated in the classic yoghurt spice blend. The chicken is then slowly baked without oil to…

Healthy Spaghetti Bolognese

The dish that we know of as Spaghetti Bolognese is as British as it is Italian, bearing little resemblance to the Ragu Alla Bolognese that is usually served with tagliatelle or used to prepare lasagna. But that by no means detracts from it's significance as culinary icon. Simple and quick to prepare, using cheap and readily available ingredients, it's a long time favourite here in the UK, whether at home or eating out. In this version a few simple adds and swaps turn it into a super healthy supper. Totalling just 450 calories a serving, it also provides nearly 60% of your daily protein requirements and a quarter of your fibre. It should certainly be right up there, and really comes into it's own at Christmas, as it's a great way of using up leftover mash, sprouts and other vegetables.
